PakTrust are pleased to announce the opening of the Vocational Training Centre at Jaan Sadiq Memorial Building in Jhelum. An official opening cermony was held and attended by close members of family and few close friends on 1Friday 16th April 2010. Commenting on the opening of the VTC, Taykdaar Munir Hussain said, Jaan Sadiq Memorial Building is a tribute to a special mother and father whose memories I want to live every day of my life. My father opened this building earlier in the year during the first eye camp, he was overjoyed with the hapiness of this sadqa jaria project. He died suddenly within a month of opening and I have dedicated the building to him and my mother whose memory lives with me every second of the day. I wish she and my father were here to see this today.

Faisal Shahzad, PakTrust Country Manager said, the VTC is a much needed facility for the local girls of this poor neighbourhood. We have a very detailed training course that inlcudes draughting, cutting and sewing that will teach fundamentals to the most needy girls. Our intention is to provide a skill that will enable these girls to make a living in the vicinity of their homes. May Allah give us the courage and strength to provide a skill that can provide a livelihood to widows, divorcees or the poor families.
