Our Guiding Principles
1. Absolutely every penny of all donations will go to charitable causes.
Not one penny of donations will be spent on administration costs, or any cost of running the charity. As donors ourselves, we know how hard it is to earn money and want to ensure every penny of hard earned income goes to those who need it most. We may use funds from Gift Aid on running costs, however, any surplus will be used for charitable causes.
2. Donors Decide Our Priorities
PakTrust.org implements and runs projects on behalf of our donors and supporters on projects that are important to them. As donors ourselves, our donations fund projects in Jhelum and Mirpur areas.
3. Invest in long term projects
Unless immediate aid is needed in disaster or emergency situations, PakTrust.org will invest in long term projects which can benefit individuals, families and entire communities. Examples include:
- Earthquake
Artificial Limbs Project for Earthquake Victims – read more here.
Health
Free Eye Camps
Free Dispensary
Education
Invest in a New School
Support School for the Blind
Infrastructure
Water Supply
4. Work with Local Partners
Avoid duplication of effort and resources by working and creating partnerships with local delivery partners. We see no need to spend thousands on project start-up costs, on infrastructure and/or local staff if another organisation has already done it. We embrace working with these partners to ensure they can use their local expertise to fast track our projects at a fraction of the cost of doing it ourselves. Our local partnerships include:
- Fauji Foundation Hospital (Rawalpindi)
- Al-Shifa Trust
- Friends of The Citizens Foundation
- Akab School for the Blind
- Edhi Foundation
- Minhaj Welfare Association
- Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS Islamabad)
- Jaan Sadiq Memorial Building
