Free Dispensary Opens at Jaan Sadiq Memorial

PakTrust Signs MOU with POB Trust

On 11th April PakTrust.org signed MOU with POB Trust (PIMA). The agreement enables 2 surgical eye camps annually one in Jhelum and the other in Mirpur (AK). AKAB – PakTrust Gets Excellence Award from AKAB

PakTrust was granted Excellence Award 2008-2009 by Azad Kashmir Association of Blind (AKAB) to acknowledge their maritorior services for the welfare and rehabilitation of Blind children. PakTrust Country Manager, Advocate Faisal Shahzad was at the ceremony to collect the award on 25th March 2010.

PakTrust – Charity Begins at Home

PakTrust original work was in the earthquake effected areas of Kashmir and Pakistan. Whilst this continues through our artifical limbs project, we are committed to the old saying, that “Charity Begins at Home”. With this in mind, the bulk of our recent activity has been in our maternal and paternl homelands of Jhelum and Mirpur Azad Kashmir. These are areas which we are very familiar to us, and in places the need for help is paramount and we endeavour to provide this help through our projects.

Eye Care Programme – PakTrust Eye Camps

Pictures taken at PakTrust Eye Camps. The 1st camp was held at AKAB School in Mirpur, 2nd and 3rd were held at The PakTrust regional office in Jhelum, Jaan Sadiq Memorial Building. Zakat eligible patients were seen and those requiring cataract or other operations were send to Al-Shifa Eye Hosiptal in Rawalpindi (some on same days and others few days later) at full cost to PakTrust. Hundres’s of patients to date have benefited from cataract operations and thousands from free glasses.

PakTrust – Jaan Sadiq Memorial Building

Taykdaar Munir Hussain of Jhelum donates the Jaan Sadiq Memorial Building to PakTrust as Sadqa Jaria for his belated Father and Mother. Ironically, the building was officially opened by his late father only a month before his sudden and completly unexpected death. He was an inspiration and father to us all at PakTrust and we pray to Allah Subhanah that he rewards him a place in Jannah. We thank Taykdaar Munir for his kind gift to PakTrust and no doubt this will serve as great Sadqa Jaria for his late parents.
